Old Lamps Made Funky

I found these lamps on KSL a few months ago.  I new I had to have them because I wanted to redo some. So we packed the kids and in the car and drove about 20 minutes to pick them up.  My husband and kids were such good sports.

The lampshades I had from another set of lamps that I sold at a garage sale.  I used Treehouse Clear Spray Adhesive from Hobby Lobby and used a 40% off coupon.  I never go to Hobby Lobby without a coupon.  I cut the fabric that I purchased from Fabric.com about 1/4 inch bigger on each side so that I could spray the fabric and fold it over the top.  I started along the original seem of the turquoise lampshade and sprayed about 3 inches of fabric at a time to make sure I had no bumps or ripples. I worked my way around to the end where I folded the fabir over a bit, spray glued that together and sprayed glued it down.  I did that same thing along the top of the lamp to have a nice clean edge.

I like LOVE the way it turned out and it took me about 30 minutes to complete.

The best part is the price!

KSL lamps $20
Fabric I already had about it took less then a yard so about $5
Spray Adhesive $3.50 ( used about 1/4 a can so I can use on many other projects)
Spray Paint was on clearance for $1.50 at Sherwin Williams.  (used about 1/2 a can)
About $15 for a pair of UnIQue FUNKY lamps.
